This is a question that has challenged proptech companies and their leaders for
many years. The commercial real estate sector, despite its immense value and
global importance, often proves resistant to change and technological advancement.
We commissioned Censuswide, one of the world’s most respected market research
consultancies, to conduct a survey of 452 asset managers and heads of innovation at
industrial and logistic, office, and retail real estate companies with at least $500 million in assets under management in Germany, the United Kingdom, and the United States. We wanted to understand the challenges these professionals faced; what technologies they were using to ameliorate those obstacles; how effective those technologies were; what tools they felt they lacked; and how decisions about integrating new technology were made at their companies.
